The Knight Riders scored a superb 11-run win over top-of-the-table San Francisco Unicorns in their last match. It was their second win on the trot and pushed them into the playoff places after having suffered a run of four defeats in five matches.

The Knight Riders’ top order continued their good run of form with Colin Munro (52 off 43), Andre Russell (40 off 18) and Matthew Tromp (49 off 28) powering them to 184/7 off their 20 overs.

Jason Holder was devastating with the ball, knocking over three of the Unicorns’ top four batters in returning figures of 4/40. Andre Russell (3/42) was expensive but played a crucial role in bowling the Unicorns out for 173 off 19.1 overs.
