The San Francisco Unicorns are at the top of the table with a two point gap over the next three teams, and just four points ahead of bottom side the Texas Super Kings. The Washington Freedom and the Los Angeles Knight Riders both have an extra game in hand, and for the Freedom that game could lift them level with the Unicorns.
The Freedom have won their last two matches and have three wins from four, so they are a strong candidate to back to win their next match, which is against the Knight Riders, who have lost four of their last five and can’t afford to drop another two points. The Texas Super Kings’ great start to the season has dissolved, with the Super Kings losing their last three matches.
At the top the Unicorns have won four of their last five matches and second-placed Seattle Orcas have won three in five matches. Defending champs MI New York have lost their last two on the bounce, but one win would all but seal their place in the playoffs.
