Opening bowler Prenelan Subrayen took 3 for 33 off his ten overs, and Ottniel Baartman picked up 3 for 35 from eight overs.

The fixture between the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Gbets Rocks was abandoned due to the weather. The Rocks were sent into bat, making 202 all out, with Stiaan Van Zyl hitting 109 off 127 balls as wickets fell around him.

Ottniel Baartman put in an impressive bowling display of 3 for 28 off his ten overs. Equally good was Eathan Bosch's 4 for 37 off nine overs.

In response, the Durban team were 25 for 0 after 8.1 overs before heavy rain halted proceedings.

North West Dragons started off their season with a bang, when they beat Six Gun Grill Western Province by 17 runs at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.

North West Dragons were asked to bat first and posted a handy score of 243/9 after 50 overs. Heino Kuhn scored 49 from 50 balls, and Senuran Muthusamy smashed a brilliant 100 off 106 balls.

Province chase failed to build momentum as they found themselves 156-7 after 34 overs. Jonathan Bird held the innings together with an excellent 116 off 126 balls, but it was not enough to see his side home.

Dwaine Pretorius was the top wicket-taker for the Dragons with 3-40, ably assisted by Caleb Seleka's 2-36 off ten overs and Nono Pongolo's 2-32.

Their second match against the Warriors was abandoned due to inclement weather.

North West Dragons are the new team on the block and showed enough in their win against Province that will be competitive in this competition.
