Quinton de Kock made a stunning return to the side with 62 off 41 balls. Kyle Verreynne then ended 58* to take the hosts to a seven wicket win with over 12 overs remaining.

Wayne Parnell won’t be fit for the third match which could see Marco Jansen return to the side. Dwaine Pretorius will also hope for an opportunity ahead of the out of form Andile Phehlukwayo.

Bangladesh Form

After winning their first ever cricket match, in any format, in South Africa, Bangladesh went in search of a series win during the 2nd ODI.

Unfortunately they got off to a horror start and only managed to post 194 runs. Afif Hossain top scored with 72 runs.

South Africa cruised to the total with no scoreboard pressure whatsoever. The seven wicket home success leveled the series and the third ODI now turns into a final.

Bangladesh Team News

In a huge loss to the team, Shakib Al Hasan has returned home for family reasons. He is one of the top players in world cricket and certainly dents the visitors chances of making more history.
