Zimbabwe claimed back-to-back wins to secure the series win by beating the Tigers by 13 runs in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series.

Zimbabwe recovered from 32/3 thanks to a solid 111* off 135 balls from opener Ben Curran. Brad Evans helped Curran rescue the innings with an undefeated 99-run stand for the seventh wicket. Evans ended unbeaten on 58 off 38 balls, hitting five sixes.

Zimbabwe’s bowlers were on form again, with Richard Ngarava (3/55), Blessing Muzarabani (2/33) and Brad Evans (2/48) bowling Bangladesh out in 48.1 overs to secure the 13-run win.

Bangladesh slipped to their third ODI defeat on the bounce when they went down to Zimbabwe by 13 runs in Harare.

Taskin Ahmed (2/57, econ 5.70) made early inroads into the Zimbabwe top order to reduce them to 2/8 after three overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2/32) also bowled well but Zimbabwe recovered to post 247/6 off their 50 overs.

After losing their first two wickets for 38 runs Tanzid Hasan (57 off 70) and Towhid Hridoy (60 off 90) added 84 for the third wicket. Nurul Hasan (38) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (27) did their best to keep the chase going but they lacked the legs to get over the line.

Mustafizur Rahman’s injury to his hamstring and knee will see him sitting out the next four weeks of action. Zimbabwe are likely to be unchanged.
