SA20 Squad Preview - Joburg Super Kings

The Super Kings have added some major fire-power to their squad, including seasoned international white-ball all-rounders Moeen Ali and David Wiese, along with spin-bowling wizard Imran Tahir, the latter as a wildcard. Dayyaan Galiem’s local knowledge should prove invaluable, along with fellow rookie Ronan Herrmann. 

Other international stars include England’s Sam Cook and Afghanistan’s Zahir Khan, while English county cricket stalwart Wayne Madsen will be eager to bring his hunger for runs back to the land of his birth.

Skipper Faf du Plessis was key to the Super Kings finishing second on the table during the maiden SA20 season. The former Proteas skipper and T20 maestro finished second on the runs list with 369 runs at 41.00. New Proteas’ star paceman Gerald Coetzee hit the world stage with a bang last year, finishing third-top wicket-taker with 17 wickets from his nine matches, with a best return of 4/34.
