Pretoria Capitals vs Joburg Super Kings Predictions

The Kings are down at the bottom of the table after picking up just one win from their six matches, along with two points from an abandoned match. The Capitals will hope their win over the Sunrisers will sparks their rise up the table, their eight points leaving them second from bottom at present.

Pretoria Capitals’ Will Jacks (177 runs) is 7th in the SA20 runs list.
Pretoria Capitals’ Kyle Verreynne top-scored with 72* in the loss to the Super Kings.
Joburg Super Kings’ Leus du Plooy has scored 48, 71, 33 & 30 in his last 5 innings.
Joburg Super Kings’ Reeza Hendricks top-scored with 79* in the loss to the Royals.

Head-to-Head

The Super Kings have won two of their three group matches against the Capitals, including a six-wicket win in their group match a week ago.

Pretoria Capitals Form

The Capitals made it two wins from four when they squeaked home against the Sunrisers.

The Capitals collapsed to 125 all out off 18.3 overs, James Neesham top-scoring with just 27.

The Capitals bowlers were superb in throttling the Sunriders’ innings to snatch a last-ball win. Adil Rashid (3/30) and Wayne Parnell (333) both bowled exceptionally to guide their side to the four points.

Pretoria Capitals Team News

The Pretoria Capitals will be desperate for their batters to start posting big individual scores but are unlikely to make any changes at this stage of the tournament.

Joburg Super Kings Form

After breaking their four-match losing streak with a win over the Capitals, the Kings suffered another loss, this time to the rampant Royals.

The Kings posted 168/3 off their 20 overs, with Reeza Hendricks batting superbly through the 20 overs to score 79* off 56 balls.

The Royals timed their chase perfectly, winning with an over to spare, despite brilliant bowling from Moeen Ali (2/31) and Imran Tahir (1/21).

Joburg Super Kings Team News

There are no injury reports from the Joburg Super Kings squad.

Verdict

Pretoria Capitals v Joburg Super Kings

I am backing Pretoria Capitals to win. I am also backing Will Jacks to top score for Pretoria Capitals.

Leus du Plooy is a good bet to top score for the Joburg Super Kings.
