English Premier League - Round 9 Odds

Manchester City face Brighton in Premier League Round 9 after both sides suffered defeats in the previous round. City, whose perfect league start ended at Aston Villa, remain strong favourites due to their exceptional home form. Brighton, coming off a loss to Liverpool but previously on a long unbeaten run, are not to be underestimated. The main tip is for a Manchester City win, with the strongest supporting evidence being City's impressive home record. Brighton's resilience is noted, but City are expected to secure the victory.

English Premier League Round 9 Odds

Premier League Round 9 runs from Saturday, 31 October to Monday, 2 November, with eight matches
on Saturday, Liverpool hosting Arsenal on Sunday and Newcastle meeting Everton on Monday night.

Chelsea vs Manchester United

Chelsea need an immediate response after their 2-0 home defeat to Tottenham but United arrive in even deeper trouble after Bournemouth swept them aside 3-0 at Old Trafford.

United's winless run has stretched to eight matches in all competitions, while Chelsea still have the stronger league record. The market makes the Blues clear favourites at 1.85, with United out at 3.90 and the draw at 4.00.

Bournemouth vs Leeds United

Bournemouth produced one of Round 8's biggest statements by winning 3-0 away to Manchester United to they return home full of confidence to take on a Leeds side riding high in the table but with just three points in their last four matches.

Leeds were held 0-0 by Sunderland but remain difficult to beat. The early betting has Bournemouth as modest favourites at 2.15 while Leeds are 3.30, with the draw slated at 3.50.

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest

Brentford were held 1-1 at Hull and are now without a league win in three, while Nottingham Forest continue to struggle at the bottom of the table. Home advantage gives Brentford the edge in the market at 2.00. Forest are pinned at 3.50 for an away victory with the draw paying out at 3.75.

Coventry City vs Sunderland

This is a massive game between the two teams at the bottom of the table. Coventry lost 1-0 at home to Fulham in Round 8, while Sunderland stopped the bleeding with a 0-0 draw against Leeds. Despite travelling, Sunderland are slight favourites at 2.45, with Coventry ranked at 2.85 and the draw at 3.40.

Hull City vs Ipswich Town

The market can barely separate these sides. Hull's 1-1 draw with Brentford extended an impressive unbeaten home run extending way into last season.  Ipswich have shown enough fight this season to make them dangerous travellers. Both teams are quoted at a 2.60 payout for the win, with the draw at 3.50. This is one of the most evenly priced fixtures of the round.

Manchester City vs Brighton

Manchester City's perfect league start ended with a 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa, so their clash against the in-form Seagulls is set up as a thrilling match-up. Brighton also lost in Round 8, going down 2-0 at Liverpool after a long unbeaten run, so they are not to be taken lightly.

City remain strong favourites at 1.70 as their home form is incredible, which accounts for the high payout of 4.40 for a Brighton win. With City usually leaking a goal or two a draw at 4.33 is tempting, although realistically City should take the W.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham pulled off a massive win in terms of their season by beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on the weekend. Spurs now return home as one of the shortest-priced favourites of the weekend.

Palace lost 2-0 to Newcastle and have won only once in their last seven matches in all competitions, so if you’re looking for a big payout to take a swing at the Palace definitely offers a big payout… but can they pull off a win over a Spurs side with seven points from three matches? Spurs are pipped at 1.55 for the win, the draw is 4.40 and Palace are tacked for the win at 5.75.

Aston Villa vs Fulham

Aston Villa come into this fixture on the back of the round's standout result - a 2-1 win over Manchester City. Fulham also collected three points with a 1-0 victory at Coventry on the weekend so both sides arrive with plenty of momentum as well as confidence. Villa are the favourites at odds of 1.95 for the win, while a draw and a Fulham win are both priced at 3.70.
