Exeter Chiefs are tipped to cover the -9.5 handicap when they host Harlequins in the Premiership Rugby. Exeter have won four of their last five home matches against Harlequins, including a 38-0 victory last season, and have a solid overall home record. Harlequins, despite a recent win over Saracens, have lost four of their last five away fixtures and have struggled in this matchup. Immanuel Feyi-Waboso could return for Exeter, while Marcus Smith starred for Harlequins last week. The Chiefs’ home advantage is a key factor in this tip.

Exeter vs Harlequins Predictions

Exeter play their best rugby at home and have a solid record against Harlequins in their own backyard. Harlequins picked up the first win of their new campaign in their previous fixture but have struggled to win away from home recently.

  • Exeter have won 4 of their last 6 home games (PREM).
  • Exeter have won 4 of their last 5 home matches against Harlequins.
  • Harlequins have lost 4 of their last 5 away fixtures (PREM).
  • Harlequins lost by 38 points away to Exeter last season.

Head to Head

Exeter have the advantage against Harlequins, with 22 victories to 16 in 38 meetings.

Exeter defeated Harlequins 38-0 at home last season.

Exeter Form

Exeter failed to score any points in the first half against Bristol last weekend, going into the break trailing 10-0.

The Chiefs could only manage to secure a converted try in the second half, losing 20-7 away to Bristol.

At the start of their PREM campaign, Exeter lost 45-24 to Gloucester at home and 40-34 away to Bath before beating Newcastle 34-28 at home.

The Chiefs are ninth in the Premiership Rugby table with eight points after four rounds.

The Exeter Chiefs have yet to get their season going, but will have the belief they can turn their fortunes around when they host Harlequins this weekend, as their opponents have suffered four defeats in five league outings away from home.

Harlequins Form

Harlequins were in great touch in the first half against Saracens last weekend, scoring three tries, a penalty try, and two conversions to lead 26-10 at half-time.

Quins only added a converted try to their tally in the second half to come out on top against Saracens, winning 33-15 at home.

The Entertainers did not have any success in their opening three PREM matches of the season. They lost 33-17 at home to Bath, 48-0 away to Gloucester, and 28-24 away to Sale Sharks.

Quins are tenth in the Premiership Rugby standings with seven points from four games.

Harlequins will be pleased to have registered their first league win of their new campaign, but they have struggled to beat Exeter on the road in recent seasons, losing four of their last five matches, including a 38-0 defeat in this fixture last year.
