English Premier League Fixtures & Schedule - Round 9

Two heavyweight meetings give Matchweek 9 its edge, with Chelsea entertaining Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and Liverpool hosting Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday. Chelsea are fifth with 13 points and need a response after their 2-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. United, meanwhile, are 16th with seven points after being beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford by Bournemouth.

At the summit, Manchester City and Arsenal both have 21 points from their opening eight games. City return to the Etihad following a 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa, but a Brighton side sitting third on 16 points poses another serious test. Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 last time out and now travel to fourth-placed Liverpool, who also kept a clean sheet in their 2-0 victory over Brighton.

Elsewhere, Tottenham look to build on consecutive league wins when they face Crystal Palace, while Coventry City against Sunderland pits two of the bottom three against each other. Newcastle United and Everton close the round on Monday evening.
