AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows Predictions - Usuthu to Make it Six Straight Wins

Last updated: 1 hour ago

AmaZulu are tipped to win by a one-goal margin against Golden Arrows in their upcoming fixture. AmaZulu have won five consecutive matches in all competitions and sit third in the league with 19 points from eight games. Golden Arrows are winless in their last five league matches, suffering three defeats, though they did win in the cup after a coaching change. AmaZulu also hold a 17-14 advantage in head-to-head meetings over 37 matches. The main selection is AmaZulu to win by exactly one goal, based on current form and historical edge.

AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows Predictions

AmaZulu are in superb form right now, whilst Arrows have been struggling in the league. I’m backing an AmaZulu victory by a one-goal margin.

Key Stats – Home Win Tipped

  • AmaZulu have won their last 5 matches.
  • AmaZulu have won their last 5 matches by one-goal margins.
  • Golden Arrows have lost 3 of their last 5 PSL matches.
  • Golden Arrows have lost 2 of their last 3 matches vs AmaZulu.

Head to Head – AmaZulu Hold Advantage

AmaZulu hold a 17-14 advantage over Golden Arrows across 37 clashes with six draws.

The clubs played out a 1-1 draw when they last met in May 2026.

AmaZulu Sit Third in the PSL – Five Straight Wins in League & Cup

AmaZulu have won five straight matches in all competitions. They sit third in the league with an impressive 19 points from eight fixtures.

A 5-2 loss at Mamelodi Sundowns saw Usuthu outshot 21-6. A 2-1 win at Richards Bay and a 1-0 victory over ten-man Marumo next.

After winning 1-0 at Polokwane City and 1-0 at Durban City despite allowing 17 shots. Last weekend, they beat Kruger United 1-0 away in the Carling Knockout Cup thanks to a 78th-minute penalty.

Golden Arrows’ Form - Winless in Five PSL matches

Arrows are winless in five league matches with three defeats. After changing coach, they returned to winning ways in the Cup last weekend.

They were beaten 2-1 at home in the league by Sundowns before two draws. A 1-1 draw at Siwelele was followed by a dull 0-0 home draw vs Kaizer Chiefs as they allowed just one shot on target.

A 1-0 home defeat to Milford saw a coaching change made, with Mandla Ncikazi taking over. His arrival prompted a 4-0 home win over Chippa United in the Carling Knockout Cup.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

AmaZulu (3-4-3): Mzimela; Mthethwa, Fielies, Allan; Radebe, Maduna, Hlangabeza, Mdaka; Mbanjwa, Ngwenya, Maqokola.

Defender Riaan Hanamub is fit to start after injury. Hendrick Ekstein is pushing for a recall after scoring a penalty from the bench in the last match.

Coach Arthur Zwane has a small, settled squad. The key man is striker Thando Ngwenya, who has 10 goals in ten matches this season.

Golden Arrows (4-3-3): Mbanjwa; Shezi, Jiyane, Agnikoi, Maluleke; Dlamini, Zwane, Maxwele; Khumalo, Dion, Sithole.

Arrows will recall Thakasani Mbanjwa in goal after he was rested in the cup. Nhlanhla Zwane will also be recalled in the engine room as he continues to enjoy a fine season.

Edward Maova is injured in goal. Ntandoyenkosi Mabaso is hoping for a recall, but faces competition in defence from Eroine Agnikoi.

Verdict

I'm tipping yet another AmaZulu win by a one-goal margin of victory.
