India Form

India have secured qualification for the Super 8 stage with three wins from their opening three matches. This is their final group fixture and should provide them with an opportunity to fine tune things ahead of the big stage.

The one concern for India will be the lack of time in the middle for the batsmen. They beat Ireland, chasing only 96, then were bowled out for 119 by Pakistan before chasing 110 to beat the USA.

In that game, Arshdeep Singh took 4-9 in four overs to hold the USA to 110. It was never going to be enough as Suraykumar Yadav’s 50 runs secured a seven-wicket win.

India took over 18 overs to get to the score though so there will be some concern about the form of certain players.

I suspect India will be looking to make some changes for this fixture. It may well be mostly among the bowlers though.

Canada Form

Canada have all but been knocked out of the tournament, however, they were never really expected to advance. A big win over India will however see them have a chance if other results go their way.

In their last game, Canada batted first but could only score 106 runs in 20 overs. Aaron Johnson scored 52 while the other five batsmen in the top six all scored four or less.

The bowlers put up a good fight, but they never had enough runs to play with. Still, the ensured that Pakistan took 17.3 overs to eventually win the game.

With this likely their last game, Canada may make changes to ensure everyone in the squad gets a game.
