Pakistan are under some serious pressure going into this match after losing their opening two games. A shock defeat to the USA in a Super over was followed by a disappointing loss to India.

Bowling first, Pakistan were superb on a very poor pitch, bowling India out for 119 runs. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took three wickets each.

The chase was however very disappointing with Pakistan reaching 113 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Mohammad Rizwan top scored with 31 runs.

Pakistan may be looking to make some changes. They are desperate for a win, and this is a must-win if they have any chance of making the playoffs.

Canada Form

Canada put up a good fight in their opening World Cup game, scoring 194 against the USA. While they couldn’t defend that total, the Canadians would have been pleased with their batting display.

That positivity came to fruition against Ireland. Canada scored 137 runs batting first as Nicholas Kirton top scored with 49 runs on a tough wicket.

A very disciplined bowling display followed as Ireland could only reach 125 runs in their 20 overs. Jeremy Gordon took 2-16 in four overs while Dilon Heyliger also took two wickets.

I don’t suspect Canada will be looking to make too many changes to the side that has performed well in the last two games.
