South Africa go into this match placed second in Group 2 behind India. All the teams have one match to play but victory here will secure the Proteas of a semi-final spot.

The Proteas opening match ended in a no result against Zimbabwe before they beat both Bangladesh and India. Last time out South Africa came up short against Pakistan.

After starting well with the ball, South Africa allowed Pakistan off the hook with some very poor fielding. That resulted in Pakistan scoring 185 runs in 20 overs.

Rain came during the South African innings which meant they required 142 runs from 14 overs. They could only manage 108 which saw them lose by 33 runs.

Mark Boucher is likely to stick with the same batting lineup but he may opt for two spinners.

Netherlands Form

Netherlands are bottom of the table in Group 2 but have the one victory over Zimbabwe to date. They can no longer qualify although that was never expected of them.

A brilliant bowling performance last time out saw the Netherlands bowl Zimbabwe out for 117 runs. Max O’Dowd broke the back of the chase with a well played 52 runs as Netherlands won by five wickets with two overs to spare.
