India are top of Group 1 after two relatively easy opening matches but they still have to face South Africa and Australia. If India win they will be in a great position to beat out South Africa for the second spot in Group 1, so this is a must-win match for the Proteas.

India Women Form


After losing their recent T20I series against England 2-1 by losing the last two matches, India have bounced back by winning their opening two matches of the World Cup.

Smriti Mandhana top-scored with 74 off 47 balls, 12 boundaries) in the win over the Netherlands. Mandhana put on 115 for the first wicket with Shafali Verma (55 off 38 balls).

Richa Ghosh has scored 68, 34 and 20* in her last three innings. Jemimah Rodrigues has  scored 2,752 runs in T20Is (ave 29.59) but has struggled for runs recently, passing 19 just three times in her last nine innings. 

Deepti Sharma took 5/20 in India’s opener against Pakistan, but Shree Charani has taken seven wickets in the first two matches and is India’s most consistent bowler at present.
