This should be a fascinating series but with India missing a few star players, it is South Africa that holds all the cards. My best bet is for the visitors to win the series opener.

South Africa have won three of their last five T20s against India. The opening match of this series saw South Africa win by seven wickets.

India Form

India batted first in the opening T20 of the series and scored 211 runs in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan smashed 76 runs while there were contributions from a few other batsmen.

Generally you would back yourself to defend over 200 but South Africa came out of the blocks well, chasing the total down with five balls to spare.

Only Avesh Khan went at under 10 runs to the over for India on a flat wicket.

India Injuries

With a few players missing to injury and others being rested, this series is about giving others a chance. We are likely to see some changes.

South Africa Form

South Africa will be very pleased with their opening win against India.

The visitors did not bowl particularly well as India scored 211 in their 20 overs. Wayne Parnell will be reasonably pleased with his 1-32 in four overs given how expensive the others were.

The chase was however magnificent. Dwayne Pretorius put momentum into the innings, scoring 29 off just 13 balls. Thereafter Rassie van der Dussen (75*) and David Miller (64*) saw the Proteas over the line.

David Miller had a wonderful IPL earlier this year and that form continued. His 64 came off just 31 balls, including five sixes and six fours.

South Africa are likely to remain unchanged.
