Sri Lanka enter the quarter-final with a talented young squad and plenty of depth in both batting and bowling. Nepal have been one of the most impressive teams in the tournament so far and should provide a tough challenge after their victory over Afghanistan and strong performance against Japan.

Sundeep Jora struck 57 from 32 balls against Japan at a strike rate of 178.12, while Lokesh Bam blasted 52 from only 22 deliveries. Kushal Bhurtel has also been in excellent form, scoring 488 runs in his last 10 matches at a strike rate of 186. Dipendra Singh Airee has contributed 218 runs in his previous 10 games.

Sandeep Lamichhane has been Nepal’s leading recent bowling threat, taking 12 wickets in his last nine matches, while Sompal Kami has taken eight wickets in his previous six games.
