After beating the Phoenix by eight wickets, the Fire slumped to their third defeat in four matches when they lost to the Trent Rockets by three wickets.
Stephen Eskinazi (53 off 42) and Tom Abell (48 off 29) added 97 for the third wicket against the Rockets, but the Fire could only reach 150/6 off their 20 overs.
After a good start the Rockets were pegged back by excellent bowling from David Payne (2/38) and Chris Green (2/34), but they couldn’t prevent the Rockets from claiming a three-wicket win off 99 balls.
