Phil Salt (46 off 36) and Joe Root (58* off 40) added 77 for the first wicket to setup a comfortable seven-wicket win with four balls to spare.

The Brave had a disastrous start to their season, losing their opening three matches between snatching back-to-back wins over the Phoenix and the Spirit.

The Brave rolled the London Spirit for 105 off 92 balls. Adil Rashid (2/17) knocked over two of the Spirit’s top four batters, while Jofra Archer (4/9) and Marcus Stoinis (3/17) devastated the rest of the Spirit’s batters.

The Brave collapsed to 60/5 off 58 balls but opener Jamie Smith (36 off 22) played a cool hand to take his side close. David Miller (39* off 28) took the Brave over the line with three balls to spare.

Both sides are in good form and are unlikely to fiddle with their lineups, but they will adjust their tactics to bat with more caution early in their innings on the tricky Sophia Gardens track.
