The China Open is set to take place at Enhance Anting for the first time, where a competitive field of players will compete for top honours in Shanghai this weekend. Who will win the latest edition of the DP World Tour come Sunday?

Adrian Otaegui returns to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Guido Migliozzi in 2024.

Past champions in the field include Jin Zhang, Haotong Li, Ashun Wu, and Alexander Levy.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen had an excellent start to his season on the DP World Tour, finishing T8 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T39 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and T10 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Neergard-Petersen's form dipped after those results. He missed the cut at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship and the Bahrain Championship before regaining his touch, placing 2nd at the Qatar Masters, 2nd at the Puerto Rico Open, and T22 at the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour.

The Dane is debuting at the Volvo China Open this weekend.

Neergaard-Petersen will fancy his chances to win the title in Shanghai after finishing runner-up twice in three outings.

Haotong Li

Haotong Li enjoyed success during the opening rounds of the new DP World Tour season, finishing T52 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T22 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, T24 at the Bahrain Championship, and winning the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

Haotong Li has maintained his level of play since that victory, placing T41 at the Magical Kenya Open, T16 at the South African Open Championship, and T9 at the Porsche Singapore Classic.

The 29-year-old golfer has achieved excellent results at this event in his previous eight appearances, finishing T50 in 2014 and 6th in 2015, winning in 2016 before placing T11 in 2017, T32 in 2018, 4th in 2019, 2nd in 2021, and T35 in 2024.

Haotong Li has the form to secure his Volvo China Open title this weekend.

Matthew Jordan

Matthew Jordan finished T2 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and T27 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in his opening two events on the DP World Tour before missing the cut at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship and the Bahrain Championship.

After those poor results, Jordan bounced back to form, placing T10 at the Qatar Masters, T45 at the Puerto Rico Open (PGA Tour), T6 at the Porsche Singapore Classic, and T12 at the Hero Indian Open.

The Englishman has featured once at the Volvo China Open, missing the cut in 2024.

Jordan has been thereabouts lately and should enter calculations this weekend.

Shaun Norris

Shaun Norris had a superb beginning to his season on the DP World Tour and Challenge Tour, winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship and placing T6 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T16 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, and T9 at the MyGolfLife Open.

Norris missed the cut at the NTT Data Pro-Am in his following start; however, he shrugged off that performance, finishing T9 at the South African Open Championship, T2 at the Joburg Open, and T6 at the Serengeti Playoffs (Sunshine Tour).

The South African golfer missed the cut at the Volvo China Open in 2018 and 2019.

Norris has achieved excellent results this season and can emerge as the winner at Enhance Anting come Sunday.

Verdict

Neergaard-Petersen has been in great touch lately and has claims for the China Open this weekend.

Haotong Li has been holding form since his recent victory and can pocket the winner's cheque in Shanghai.

Jordan comes into the tournament with solid results behind him and can lift the winning trophy at Enhance Anting this Sunday.

Norris has been in better shape on the DP World Tour this season and can win the title this weekend.
