Toulouse, leaders in the French Rugby Championship with a six-game home winning streak, face Exeter in the Investec Champions Cup. The Chiefs, currently eighth in the Premiership Rugby table, have struggled this season and recently lost key player Immanuel Feyi-Waboso to injury. With Toulouse winning three out of four previous meetings and in strong form, they are tipped to cover the -32.5 handicap against Exeter in this fixture.

Toulouse vs Exeter Predictions

Toulouse were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of last season's European Rugby Champions Cup, but they are currently on a winning streak. Exeter reached the semi-finals of the EPCR Challenge Cup last season but have not had the best start to their new domestic campaign.

  • Toulouse have won 5 consecutive matches.
  • Toulouse have won 6 consecutive home fixtures.
  • Exeter have won 3 of their last 5 away games.
  • Exeter have lost 3 consecutive matches against Toulouse.

Head to Head

Toulouse have the advantage over Exeter, with three victories to one in four meetings.

Toulouse Form

Toulouse only reached the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup last season, losing to rivals Bordeaux, 30-15.

Le Stade occupy first place in the French Rugby Championship standings with 24 points from six matches.

Earlier in their Top 14 campaign, Les Rouge et Noir lost 30-27 away to La Rochelle before beating Bordeaux 48-12 at home, Vannes 29-23 away, Montpellier 40-18 at home, Castres 8-7 away, and Bayonne 45-34 at home.

Toulouse will be aiming to win the Investec Champions Cup this season and will start confidently against Exeter, as their opponents have struggled during the opening stages of their campaign, and they have won their last three meetings against the Chiefs.

Exeter Form

Exeter performed well in the EPCR Challenge Cup last season, reaching the semi-finals of the competition, but came up short against Ulster, losing 29-12.

The Chiefs are currently eighth in the Premiership Rugby table with eight points after three rounds.

At the start of the PREM season, Exeter lost 45-24 to Gloucester at home and 40-34 away to Bath before beating Newcastle 34-28 at home.

The Exeter Chiefs have lacked consistency this season so far, and will have to play well against Toulouse in their own backyard, as they are on a six-match winning streak.
