Munster vs Racing 92 Predictions

Munster reached the round of 16 in the previous edition of the EPCR Challenge Cup and have a solid record against Racing 92 at home. Racing 92 struggled in the competition last season and have not had much success on their travels recently.

  • Munster have won 5 of their last 6 home games.
  • Munster have won 3 of their last 4 home matches against Racing 92.
  • Racing 92 have lost 3 of their last 4 away fixtures.

Head to Head

Munster and Racing 92 have won four matches apiece, including one draw in nine meetings.

Munster Form

Munster failed to make it out of their pool in last season's European Rugby Champions Cup, automatically qualifying for the round of 16 of the EPCR Challenge Cup, where they lost 31-21 to Exeter.

The Red Army are currently ninth in the United Rugby Championship standings with nine points from three games.

The team from Ireland have contested three matches in this season's URC, losing 26-20 to Glasgow Warriors at home before beating the Bulls 26-22 at home and drawing 26-26 with Ulster away.

Munster have the advantage of playing at home for this European match, having won five of their last six home matches, including three of their last four against Racing 92.

Racing 92 Form

Racing 92 struggled in the previous edition of the European Challenge Cup, failing to make it to the knockout rounds of the competition.

Les Racingmen are in ninth place in the French Rugby Championship standings with ten points from five matches.

In the Top 14 this season, Les Ciel et Blanc lost 64-5 away to Bordeaux, 48-31 to Lyon at home, beat La Rochelle 20-10 away, lost 20-17 to Bayonne at home, and defeated Perpignan 55-25 at home before losing 29-15 away to Toulon.

Racing 92 have lacked consistency in recent outings in their domestic league and have lost three of their last four away fixtures, making their trip to Ireland a tough assignment.
