Fiji vs England Predictions

Fiji have historically struggled to beat England and lost their opening Nations Championship match last weekend. England had no answer in their opener but defeated Fiji in last year's Autumn Nations Series.

  • England have won 8 of their 9 matches against Fiji.
  • England beat Fiji by 20 points in 2025.
  • Fiji have lost 3 of their last 4 fixtures.

Head to Head

England have the advantage over Fiji, with eight victories to one in nine meetings.

Fiji Form

Fiji were outplayed in the second half of their Nations Championship opener against Wales last weekend, losing 39-24 after the score was 10-10 at half-time.

Before that result, the Flying Fijians played three matches during the Autumn Nations Series towards the end of last year. They lost 38-18 to England and 34-21 to France before beating Spain 33-4.

The Pacific Islanders had an excellent campaign at the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup. They defeated Tonga 32-10 and Samoa 29-15 in the group stages before beating Canada 63-10 in the semi-finals and Japan 33-2 in the final.

Fiji have a tough assignment to overcome in their second Nations Championship match against England, as they have a poor record against their opponents, having lost eight of their nine clashes.

England Form

England came away empty-handed in their opening Nations Championship match against South Africa last weekend, losing 45-21 to the Springboks after trailing 17-14 at the break.

England started this year's Six Nations Championship well, thumping Wales 48-7 before losing 31-20 to Scotland, 42-21 to Ireland, 23-18 to Italy, and 48-46 to France to finish a disappointing fifth overall.

Before that, England were in fine form during last year's Autumn Nations Series. They beat Australia 25-7, Fiji 38-18, New Zealand 33-19, and Argentina 27-23.

England did not achieve their desired outcome in their opening match, but will start confidently against Fiji, having defeated their opponents 38-18 last year.
