Bordeaux vs Clermont Predictions - Bordeaux to beat Clermont and progress to the play-offs

Bordeaux are 6th in the Top 14 standings with 69 points from 25 matches.

Union Bordeaux Begles must win to maintain their position within the top six play-off places when they take on a Clermont side that has lost eight of their 12 away league games this season. 

ASM Clermont Auvergne dropped crucial points in the race for the play-offs last weekend, losing 41-13 to Racing 92 at home after trailing 26-13 at the break.

Clermont have struggled to win their away fixtures in the French Rugby Championship this season. They lost 34-16 to La Rochelle, 43-31 to Racing 92, 44-17 to Bayonne, defeated Montpellier 9-7, lost 43-24 to Lyon, 26-20 to Perpignan, beat Montauban 34-19, lost 28-23 to Castres, defeated Toulon 34-14, lost 64-20 to Stade Francais, and beat Toulouse 27-24 before losing 24-19 at Pau. 

Les Jaunards are 8th in the Top 14 standings with 67 points from 25 games.

ASM Clermont must beat Bordeaux and have other results go their way to reach the play-offs, as they are only two points behind their hosts going into the final fixture of the regular season. However, they have lost their last five visits to their opponents' stadium consecutively. 

Fly-half Matthieu Jalibert and prop Ben Tameifuna are out injured.
