Toulouse vs Montpellier Predictions - Toulouse set to win fourth straight Top 14 title

Toulouse have a commanding lead of 27 victories to 14 against Montpellier in 41 meetings.

Toulouse romped home in their Top 14 semi-final match against Racing 92 last weekend, winning 71-17 after leading 38-3 at half-time. 

Les Rouge et Noir have performed at their best at home in the French Rugby Championship this season. They defeated Perpignan 31-13, Castres 59-12, Bordeaux 56-13, Toulon 59-24, Stade Francais 29-17, Racing 92 48-24, La Rochelle 60-14, Pau 59-22, Bayonne 31-10, Montauban 68-13, and Montpellier 45-29, before losing 27-24 to Clermont and then beating Lyon 39-31.

Toulouse were at the top of their game in their recent semi-final victory and will fancy their chances of winning their fourth consecutive Top 14 title against Montpellier, having defeated their opponents in nine of their last ten clashes.

Montpellier Hérault came out on top in a hard-fought Top 14 semi-final match against Stade Francais last weekend, winning 25-15 after leading 16-15 at the break. 

Les Cistes have shown improvement away from home in the French Rugby Championship during the latter stages of their campaign. They lost 26-23 to Bayonne, drew 22-22 with Montauban, lost 32-25 to Racing 92, 35-12 to Stade Francais, defeated Perpignan 28-0, lost 35-33 to Pau, 30-27 to Toulon, beat La Rochelle 43-33, Clermont 20-17, and lost 45-29 to Toulouse before defeating Bordeaux 23-21, Castres 36-33, and Lyon 28-25. 

Montpellier Hérault have been in great touch lately, often winning their league games; however, they have a poor record against Toulouse in recent years, and conceded 45 points to the defending champions in their last match.
