How Sundowns Could Line Up - CAF Champions League Final Team News & Predicted XI
Mamelodi Sundowns are set to take on AS FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League final first leg this Sunday. Seeking their first title since 2016, coach Miguel Cardoso faces selection challenges due to suspensions and injuries. Key players like Ronwen Williams, Khuliso Mudau, and Teboho Mokoena are expected to start, while Grant Kekana is suspended and Keanu Cupido faces a fitness test. Brayan Leon leads the attack after a strong scoring run. The recommendation is to monitor late fitness calls, but the predicted lineup balances experience and recent form.

Mamelodi Sundowns face AS FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League final first leg on Sunday. Below is how Sundowns could line up for this crunch match.
Sundowns last lifted this trophy in 2016. Can coach Miguel Cardoso secure a second crown for the Brazilians?
GOALKEEPER
Ronwen Williams is a certain starter in goal. His form has been a bit below par, but Denis Onyango has barely been trusted to start a game all season.
Williams is expected to wear the captain's armband.
DEFENCE
Khuliso Mudau returns from a domestic suspension to start at right back. Aubrey Modiba is a certain on the left.
At centre back, Grant Kekana is suspended. Khulumani Ndamane has made several recent errors, but looks certain to be selected.
Keanu Cupido will need a late fitness test, whilst Mothobi Mvala has been absent for almost all of this season. If Cupido fails to make a miraculous recovery, then Kegan Johannes will be thrust into the XI.
MIDFIELD
Teboho Mokoena is a certain pick. Jayden Adams is back from a ban in domestic action and is very likely to partner Mokoena.
Another option is to bench Adams and start Marcelo Allende. The latter could also play as a number ten, but he is more likely to be used as a substitute.
Nuno Santos is a certain starter in the number ten role, although he could play wider.
ATTACK
Tashreeq Matthews has featured in every single match this season and will start down the left flank.
In the number nine role, Brayan Leon has scored successive braces and is set to be picked ahead of Iqraam Rayners.
The final spot could go to Thapelo Morena, if he is fit. Should Morena miss out, then Arthur Sales may take his spot on the right side.
Last match: Williams; Mdunyelwa, Johannes, Kekana, Modiba; Mokoena, Allende; Letlhaku, Santos, Sales; Leon.
Predicted XI: Williams; Mudau, Johannes, Ndamane, Modiba; Adams, Mokoena; Morena, Santos, Matthews, Leon.
