Young Africans vs CFFA Predictions - Comfortable victory for Young Africans in CAF Champions League 2nd leg clash

Young Africans are on the verge of qualifying for the CAF Champions League group stage after a resounding 4-0 away victory over Madagascar’s CFFA in the first leg. With six wins from seven domestic matches and an impressive CAF campaign, the Tanzanian club is highly favored to secure another convincing win at home. CFFA, who have managed only one win in their last three continental matches, face a daunting task as they attempt to overturn the deficit. The article anticipates a comfortable victory for Young Africans in the return leg.

Young Africans vs CFFA Predictions

Young Africans host Madagascar's CFFA on Wednesday looking to complete their qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage.

Young Africans dominated the first leg of this encounter, winning 4-0. It is highly unlikely that CFFA can reverse that. I foresee another comfortable win for the hosts.

  • Young Africans have won 6 of their 7 domestic league matches this season.
  • Young Africans have won their last 5 home matches in all competitions.
  • Young Africans have scored 9 goals in their 3 CAF Champions League matches this season.
  • CFFA have won just 1 of their 3 CAF Champions League matches this season.
  • CFFA have conceded 5 goals in their 3 CAF Champions League matches.
  • CFFA have failed to win either of their last 2 matches.

Head to Head

Wednesday's match will be the second meeting between these clubs.

Young Africans won the first encounter 4–0 on Saturday, with Cheikh Touré, Albert Kangwanda, Mudathir Yahya and Maxi Nzengeli scoring.

Young Africans Form

Young Africans have made a strong start to the Tanzanian Premier League season, collecting 18 points from seven matches to sit second in the standings.

They began their CAF Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Gaborone United of Botswana before winning the return leg 2-1 to progress 3-2 on aggregate.

Young Africans subsequently defeated Geita Gold 1-0 in domestic competition but suffered their first league defeat of the season when losing 2-1 away to rivals Simba on 10 October.

They responded impressively on Saturday, beating CFFA 4-0 in the first leg of their second preliminary-round tie.

Young Africans led 2-0 at half-time before adding another two goals after the break, putting themselves in an excellent position to reach the group stage.

CFFA Form

CFFA reached the second preliminary round after eliminating Lijabatho of Lesotho 3-1 on aggregate.

The Malagasy side won the first leg 2-0 at home before securing a 1-1 draw in the return fixture on 12 September.

However, they were comprehensively beaten by Young Africans in Saturday's first leg, conceding twice in each half without scoring.

CFFA have now recorded one victory, one draw and one defeat in this season's CAF Champions League, scoring three goals and conceding five.

Verdict

Leading 4-0 after the first leg, I see nothing more than another easy win for Young Africans. Over 3.5 goals is the tip with a win to nil also on offer.
