Head to Head

TP Mazembe edged RS Berkane 1-0 at home in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

RS Berkane Form

RS Berkane will not feel aggrieved from their first leg semi-final clash against TP Mazembe down a single goal as goalkeeper Hamza Akbi kept his side in the contest pulling off multiple saves.

Their last five results across all competitions are L, W, L, W and L, scoring six goals and letting in seven at the back.

The Oranges Boys have excellent form at home, losing once and then reeling off four wins on the bounce in five fixtures in all competitions. They registered nine goals and conceded six.

RS Berkane will try to use their home ground advantage to give them the edge they need to beat TP Mazebe and progress to the CAF Confederation Cup Final.

RS Berkane Team News & Injuries

Coach Florent Ibenge should field the starting XI that narrowly lost to TP Mazembe.

Larbi Naji and Chadrack Lukombe are both carrying injuries and unavailable for selection.

Chadrack Muzungu has struck seven league goals and had three assists in the Botola Pro.

Brahim El Bahraoui has grabbed four league goals and two assists.

Chakri el Bahri has grabbed three goals in this season's CAF Confederation Cup.

TP Mazembe Form

TP Mazembe had all the play taking 26 shots in the match before breaking the deadlock with a
1-0 win over RS Berkane in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

John Bakata came on towards the end of the game and five minutes later made an impact by scoring the winner to give the Congolese side a slender advantage going into the second leg. They are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures.

The Ravens' last five results across all competitions are D, W, D, W and W, registering seven goals and conceding two, including keeping four successive clean sheets.

Their form away from home has not been as strong, with their last five results being one win, a loss and three consecutive draws. They have scored eight goals and let in six at the back.

TP Mazembe will look for the win, although they can progress to the CAF Confederation Cup final if they draw or by the away goals rule.

TP Mazembe Team News & Injuries

Coach Frank Dumas will likely start with the same lineup that played in the first leg. He will demand his team be more clinical in front of goal after leaving it late against BS Berkane last time out.

Defender Kevin Mondeko is out through injury.

Christian Koffi and Adam Bossu have scored two goals apiece in this season's CAF Confederation Cup.

Verdict

TP Mazembe dominated the first leg, but a much higher affair is expected in the second leg against RS Berkane in Morocco. A 1-1 draw with BTTS is the best bet in this clash.
