CR Belouizdad played well in the second half against Zamalek in their CAF Confederation Cup opening-leg semi-final match last weekend, losing 1-0 at home.

Before that, CR Belouizdad defeated Al Masry in their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals on the away goals rule after the score finished 1-1 over two legs. 

CRB have won two of their last five games, with two defeats and one draw. They scored ten goals and conceded two.

Chabab have secured three victories in their last five away fixtures, with two draws. They scored eight goals and conceded one.

CR Belouizdad are undefeated in their last eight away matches, with five wins and three draws, but they will find the going tough in Cairo, as Zamalek tend to play their best football in front of their loyal fans.

Forward Oday Dabbagh has stated that Zamalek will play to win in the second leg: “We achieved a positive result during the first leg, and overconfidence is not required in the return leg. We are preparing technically and psychologically for the match, in order to secure qualification for the final.”

Winger Chico Banza is available for selection after missing the first leg through injury.

Juan Bezerra scored the first-half winner against CR Belouizdad last weekend, taking his tally to two goals in the competition. 

Seifeddine Jaziri has scored four goals in this edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Oday Dabbagh and Juan Alvina have scored three goals each so far.

Ahmed Sharif, Amr Masse, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Salah Mohsen, and Seif Farouk Gaafar have contributed one goal each. 

CR Belouizdad


Interim coach Salim Seba has claimed his side can overturn the deficit in the second leg against Zamalek: “We played a good match and created several scoring opportunities, but we wasted them. That’s football.

“We lost the first leg, but God willing, we will turn the tie around in Egypt and win. We will prepare well for the return match.”

Belhocini Abdennour has scored three goals in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.

Lotfi Boussouar has netted two goals in the competition so far.

Abdelraouf Benguit, Naoufel Khachef, El Melali Farid, Mohamed Hammouda, Islam Abbaci, and Abderrahmane Meziane have contributed one goal each.
