Chiefs have lost just twice in their last 17 matches in all competitions. They have ten points in Group D of the CAF Confederations Cup, but qualification is not yet assured.

They beat Golden Arrows 1-0 at home in the league before a 1-0 win at Zesco United in Zambia. A 1-0 win away at Marumo Gallants in the PSL and a 1-0 home win over Zesco United followed.

Amakhosi lost 2-1 away to Stellenbosch to end their Nedbank Cup defence. Their last match brought a crucial 2-1 home win over Al Masry to take a big step towards the CAF knockout rounds.
