The 23rd edition of the COSAFA Cup kicks off on 26 June 2024 with the final taking place on 7 July 2024. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three matches.
There are 12 teams in the COSAFA Cup, split into three groups of four. Each team plays the others in the group (3 matches) with the top top sides progressing to the semi-finals along with the best second place finisher.
Zambia are the defending champions having won the last two COSAFA Cup titles. They have also won it the most (7) overall. Zimbabwe have won it six times, South Africa five, Angola three and Namibia once. The tournament will be hosted by South Africa.
The hosts play Botswana in the opening match, the most played match in COSAFA Cup history. They are both in Group A.
