Leicester City welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium for a Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday night. Rotation from the managers is expected, but both sides will put out players with something to prove - so expect goals.

Leicester City claimed fifth spot in the Premier League last season after looking nailed on to secure a UEFA Champions League spot for the majority of the campaign. The Foxes lost three of their final four matches of the season to disappointingly drop out of the top four.

In their first fixture of the new campaign, the Foxes took down West Brom 3-0, before winning an entertaining game against Burnley 4-2 at home.

Right-back Ricardo Pereira and centre-back Jonny Evans will both miss this clash through injury. 

Manager, Brendon Rodgers is expected to make plenty of changes with Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs likely to start in defence. Midfielder Hamza Choudhury and forward Kelechi Iheanacho are likely starters.

Arsenal will be happy with the way they finished the 2019/20 season. The Gunners defeated Liverpool 2-1 at home, before fighting their way past Manchester City 2-0 in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. 

In the FA Cup final, Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 to lift the coveted trophy.

Arsenal have started the new season very well, winning 3-0 at Fulham and then leaving it late to win 2-1 at home against West Ham United.

Arsenal are missing Gabriel Martinelli in attack and have four centre-backs out injured in Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis, Pablo Mari and Callum Chambers. Versatile defender Kieran Tierney is also a doubt. 

Mikel Arteta is expected to change most of his side with Runar Alex Runarsson in line to debut in goal. Nicolas Pepe and Eddie Nketiah have a point to prove in attack.
