Head to Head

Tottenham have a 26-7 advantage against Brentford in 49 meetings with 16 draws. There have been 20 total goals in the last five meetings between these sides.

Brentford Form

Brentford have dropped into the bottom half of the Premier League after some patchy recent form. They have failed to win in eight of their last 10, conceding 16 and scoring 12.

The Bees ended a five-match winless run by thrashing Southampton 5-0 away. Defeats to Plymouth 1-0 and Liverpool 2-0 came either side of a 2-2 home draw with Man City.

Thomas Frank’s side secured a second consecutive away win on Sunday, defeating Crystal Palace 2-1. Brentford had 1.92 XG and Bryan Mbeumo’s penalty and Kevin Scahde’s late header led the Bees to victory.

Brentford Injuries

Midfielder Christian Nørgaard and forward Kevin Schade are doubtful.

Defensive trio Ethan Pinnock, Aaron Hickey and Rico Henry are set to miss out with injuries.

Midfielders Josh Dasilva and Ryan Trevitt are sidelined due to injury.

Forward pair Igor Thiago and Gustavo Nunes are also unlikely to feature on Sunday.

Tottenham Form

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are one of the most out-of-form Premier League teams, with one point from seven games. Spurs have conceded 17 goals during this spell and scored 10.

Tottenham’s last domestic win was a 1-0 EFL Cup home triumph over Liverpool. Three league losses followed with 2-1 defeats against Arsenal and Leicester and a 3-2 loss at Everton.

Spurs have been in better European form and reached the Europa League’s last 16 with a 3-0 home win against Elfsborg. Dan Scarlett, Damola Ajayi and Mikey Moore scored as Tottenham dominated with 81% possession.

Tottenham Injuries

Defenders Radu Dragusin, Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario are ruled out.

Midfield duo James Maddison and Wilson Odobert won’t make the squad due to injury.

Attackers Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson are also injured and unavailable.

Verdict

Brentford v Tottenham

Brentford have one of the best attacks and worst defences in the Premier League. Tottenham also see a lot of goals at both ends and a high-scorer is tipped on Sunday.
