West Ham Form

West Ham are 14th in the Premier League and six points above the relegation zone. The Hammers were winless in six of their first eight games of the season.

The East Londoners have suffered heavy defeats to Man City (3-1), Chelsea (3-0) and Tottenham this season. West Ham responded with a 2-1 win against Man United before losing 3-0 at Nottingham Forest and drawing 0-0 with Everton.

Julen Lopetegui’s team won their fourth league match of the campaign on Monday, beating Newcastle 2-0 away. Tomas Soucek struck on nine minutes and Aaron Wan-Bissaka netted a second after half time.

Arsenal Form

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are clawing on in the title race and are nine points behind early leaders Liverpool.

The Gunners had some patchy form before the November internationals and were winless in three in all competitions. Arsenal have been back to their best since returning and sealed a commanding 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The North London outfit followed that result with another dominant display in Europe, thrashing Sporting Lisbon 5-1 away. Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz scored early before Gabriel, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard added to Arsenal’s tally.

Arsenal Injuries & Team News

Defensive pair Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are injured and won’t feature at the London Stadium.

Bukayo Saka has made four goal contributions in his last two appearances and is likely to start in attack.

Verdict

West Ham v Arsenal

West Ham have struggled to keep the goals out at home this season and Arsenal are scoring for fun. An away victory with over 2.5 goals for the Gunners is the best bet in East London.
