Head to Head

Canada and Bosnia-Herzegovina will meet for the first time in a competitive match.

Canada Form

Canada played two FIFA World Cup tune-up matches at the beginning of June, beating Uzbekistan 2-0 before drawing 1-1 with Ireland.

Before that, the Maple Leafs contested two international friendlies in March, drawing 2-2 with Iceland and 0-0 with Tunisia.

Canada have won two of their last five matches, with three draws. They scored seven goals and conceded three.

The Canucks have secured one victory in their last five home games, with four draws. They scored four goals and conceded three.

Canada have home-ground advantage for this clash; however, they have been struggling to win lately, having drawn four of their last five fixtures in front of their loyal fans.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Form

Bosnia and Herzegovina played two international friendlies between the end of May and the beginning of June, drawing 0-0 with North Macedonia and 1-1 with Panama.

Before those results, the Dragons had to overcome Wales and Italy in back-to-back FIFA World Cup play-off matches in March. They defeated Wales 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw following extra time, before beating Italy 4-1 on penalties after another 1-1 draw after extra time to secure their place in the finals.

Bosnia and Herzegovina have won two of their last five fixtures, with three draws. They scored four goals and conceded four.

The Zmajevi have registered two wins in their last five away matches, including three draws. They scored nine goals and conceded six.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will need to be at their clinical best to overcome Canada in their opening Group B match, as the hosts have been solid defensively in recent games.
