Niger vs Congo Predictions - Niger poised for home win in World Cup qualifier
In the upcoming World Cup qualifying match between Niger and Congo, Niger looks to capitalize on their relatively better form. Niger is third in Group E with a chance to secure second place if they win against Congo and Zambia. However, discipline is a major concern, with a red card in each of their last three games. In contrast, Congo struggles at the bottom of the group, having lost five out of six matches. Despite a lack of goals, Niger is favored to take all three points in this encounter.

Niger vs Congo Predictions
Both teams have been poor of late but in the World Cup qualifiers, Niger have performed reasonably well. Discipline has been the hosts’ issues having had a player sent off in each of their last three games.

I am backing Niger to get the three points here despite their lack of goals recently.
- Niger have won 3 of their last 5 World Cup qualifying matches.
- Niger have scored 1 goal in their last 6 matches (all competitions).
- Niger have received 1 red card in each of their last 3 matches.

Head to Head
These two drew 0-0 in January 2023 during the Africa Nations Championship. There game earlier in qualifying was called off in Congo as unrest didn’t allow the game to be played.
Niger Form
Niger are third in Group E of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Africa and still in with a good shot of reaching the tournament next year. While Morocco have all but secured top spot, second place is very much up for grabs.
Tanzania, currently second, are a point ahead of Niger but have played a game more. Should Niger win here and then against Zambia next week, they should secure second place.
Of their last five qualifiers, Niger have won three and lost two. In September, Niger lost 5-0 away to Morocco after having a player sent off. A week later they again played with 10 men in Tanzania, but this time held on for a 1-0 victory.
Congo Form
Congo are bottom of Group E in the Africa FIFA World Cup qualifiers. They have one point from six matches with five losses and one draw.
In September, Congo only played one qualifier. That was at home against Tanzania where they got their only point of the tournament thus far with a 1-1 draw.
Eritrea, who are in Congo’s group, are not participating, so they are effectively a five-team group.
