Bayern Munich vs Freiburg Predictions

Freiburg have a lot of attacking quality with plenty of goals recently, so BTTS could be on in this clash. However, Bayern should be too good over 90 minutes.

The last match between these sides ended in a 2-2 draw back in March.

Bayern Munich Form

Vincent Kompany had a successful start in Bundesliga, his side claiming a 3-2 victory last weekend against Wolfsburg.

The Bavarians gained an early lead with Jamal Musiala breaking the deadlock, but then conceded two unanswered goals. An equalizer was seen in the 65th minute Jakub Kaminski scoring an own goal, Serge Gnabry finding the net in 82nd minute to complete the comeback.

Bayern Munich also defeated a tier-two side Ulm 4-0 in the German Cup earlier this month. Thomas Muller scored a brace in the first half, Kingsley Coman and Harry Kane on target in the second half.

Bayern Munich Injuries & Team News

Summer acquisition Hiroki Ito (broken foot), Josip Stanisic (knee ligament injury) and reserve goalkeeper Daniel Peretz (muscle tear) are ruled out for this match.

Leroy Sane has recovered from a groin operation but he is still doubtful for this match.

Joao Palhinha is still waiting for his Bundesliga debut since making a move from Fulham.

Freiburg Form

Freiburg are off to an excellent start in Bundesliga 2024/25, earning a comfortable 3-1 home victory against Stuttgart last weekend.

After conceding just two minutes into the match, they bounced back through Lukas Kubler’s equalizer in 26th minute, while Ritsu Doan put them ahead early into the second half. The final result was set by Kubler with his second goal in the 61st minute.

Julian Schuster’s side also looked fantastic in their German Cup match earlier this month, beating Osnabruck 4-0 with Junior Adamu stealing the spotlight with two goals.

Freiburg Injuries & Team News

Michael Gregoritsch is ruled out due to a muscle injury.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh and first-choice goalkeeper Noah Atubolu have recovered from injuries but have fitness issues.

German defender Lukas Kubler scored two goals in the Bundesliga opening match last week.

Verdict

Bayern Munich v SC Freiburg

If we count pre-season, Bayern Munich won 7 of their last 8 games so I will back them to keep winning. Freiburg have good numbers when it comes to scoring against the Bavarians, so a home win & BTTS is a value bet.
