Kaizer Chiefs have finally secured the signature of Stellenbosch winger Langelihle Phili after a protracted chase.

They have paid a fee plus included two big-name Bafana Bafana internationals as part of the deal.

Throughout the off-season, Chiefs have wanted Phili to bolster their wide areas. The right-footed winger is 21 years old and scored nine goals last term for Stellenbosch.

He netted seven goals in his first 14 Betway Premiership appearances last season and is considered a high potential prospect.

Phili is an Under-20 international for South Africa and is expected to go straight into the starting XI.

Msimango and Du Preez Depart Amakhosi

As part of the deal for Langelihle Phili, Kaizer Chiefs have paid a transfer fee whilst also including defender Given Msimango and forward Ashley Du Preez in the deal.

Msimango had been expected to start the PSL opener vs Kruger United for Chiefs last Saturday, but has been sacrificed in order for Amakhosi to land their top target.

Du Preez returns to his former club after an injury-hit time at Naturena. He struggled for minutes last season and had bleak prospects of playing this term.

Lilepo Set to Leave Chiefs

Another deal that is close to being finalised is that of Glody Lilepo to Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international was a key player for Chiefs last season. He made his wishes clear to depart the club for a new challenge.
