Falcons vs Kingsmen Caribbean Premier League Final Predictions - Khan and Moqim to bowl Falcons to maiden CPL title

Editor
Last updated: 30 minutes ago

The upcoming final is anticipated to be a close contest, with the Falcons slightly favored to win (odds 1.86). Hasan Nawaz is expected to shine with the bat for the Falcons, while Shadab Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Hunain Shah are highlighted as key players likely to deliver strong performances. Betting tips also include Shadab Khan taking over 1.5 wickets and Maaz Sadaqat as the top Kingsmen batter. Overall, the Falcons are tipped for a narrow victory.

  • The Falcons attack demolished the Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 1, rolling them for 76.
  • The Kingsmen have transformed their season with two knockout victories, including a remarkable chase of 207 against Guyana.
  • The 2026 CPL final brings together two first-time finalists, with Antigua & Barbuda Falcons facing Jamaica Kingsmen at Kensington Oval.
  • The bookies have this match level-pegged with neither side favoured for the win. It could boil down to the Falcons attack against the Kingsmen’s batters.

Falcons vs Kingsmen Predictions

The Falcons have enjoyed the stronger overall campaign, winning six of nine Caribbean Premier League group matches and defeating Jamaica in their opening encounter. The Falcons hold a slight form advantage, but Jamaica's explosive batting makes this a dangerous contest to call.

  • Falcons’ Hasan Nawaz has scored 76 & 36 in his last 2 knocks.
  • Falcons’ Rahkeem Cornwall has scores of 20 & 49 in his last 2 innings.
  • Falcons’ Shadab Khan has figures of 2/19 & 4/16 in 2 matches.
  • Kingsmen’s Maaz Sadaqat has scored 47, 112 & 41 in his last 5 matches.
  • Kingsmen’s Keacy Carty has scores of 42 & 56 in his last 4 innings.
  • Kingsmen’s Hunain Shah has taken 2/27, 2/25 & 1/25 in his last 5 innings.

Head-to-Head

The Falcons won the only previous meeting between the two teams in early August, winning by two wickets off the last ball of the match.

Falcons Form

Antigua & Barbuda Falcons enter their maiden CPL final in outstanding form after dismantling Guyana Amazon Warriors by nine wickets in Qualifier 1. Their bowling attack produced a devastating performance, dismissing Guyana for just 76 before completing the chase in only 5.2 overs.

Shadab Khan was exceptional with 4/16, including a hat-trick, while fellow spinner Sufyan Moqim claimed 4/13. The pair will again be central to the Falcons' plans, particularly if Kensington Oval offers assistance to spin.

Rahkeem Cornwall then demonstrated his destructive power with 49 from just 16 deliveries, including six sixes. His return provides an additional dimension to the batting alongside Evin Lewis, Amir Jangoo and Hasan Nawaz.

Captain Moeen Ali also has considerable experience available through Fabian Allen, Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Springer. Having won their previous meeting with Jamaica and four successive completed matches, the Falcons have the momentum and bowling resources to challenge strongly for their first title.

Kingsmen Form

Jamaica Kingsmen have produced a remarkable turnaround after narrowly qualifying for the playoffs despite winning only four of their 10 group matches. They have since defeated Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors, transforming a disappointing campaign into an opportunity to claim the title.

Their latest victory was particularly impressive, successfully chasing 207 against Guyana with three balls remaining. Maaz Sadaqat provided an explosive start with 41 from 17 deliveries, while Keacy Carty contributed 56 from 40. Captain Rovman Powell then delivered an unbeaten 40 from just 17 balls.

Sadaqat's form has been instrumental in Jamaica's resurgence, while Powell, Andre Russell and Saim Ayub provide substantial power through the batting order.

With the ball, Hunain Shah has emerged as an important death-overs specialist, taking eight wickets between overs 16 and 20 this season. Hassan Khan and Keemo Paul provide further options as Jamaica attempt to overturn their earlier defeat to the Falcons.

Team news

Neither side has an obvious reason to change its successful knockout combination, although final selections remain subject to fitness and conditions. Cornwall should retain his opening position after his explosive Qualifier 1 innings, with Shadab Khan and Sufyan Moqim essential to the Falcons' bowling plans.

Evin Lewis experienced cramp during that match, but no confirmed injury absence has been reported. Jamaica should retain Sadaqat, Carty and Powell, while Hunain Shah remains a key death-bowling option.

"Joshua James [is] probably not the quickest, but I think for me he's been one of the best bowlers in the tournament. He's a captain's dream, comes and nails his skills every time. Reliable and great to have in your team," says Falcons captain Moeen Ali on Joshua James’ rise to stardom in the CPL.

"We just wanted to squeeze into the playoffs because we know once you get a Jamaica team into the playoffs, they're dangerous," cautions Kingsmen captain Rovman Powell.

Falcons (possible XI): Rahkeem Cornwall, Evin Lewis, Amir Jangoo (wk), Hasan Nawaz, Moeen Ali (c), Shadab Khan, Fabian Allen, Joshua James, Sufyan Moqim, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Springer.

Kingsmen (possible XI): Maaz Sadaqat, Kirk McKenzie, Saim Ayub, Keacy Carty, Romaine Morris, Rovman Powell (c), Andre Russell, Keemo Paul, Hassan Khan, Vitel Lawes, Hunain Shah.

Verdict

The Falcons are tipped to win what should be a super-tight final. Hasan Nawaz is my pick to score well for the Falcons, while Shadab Khan, Maaz Sadaqat and Hunain Shah are my other pics to perform with either bat or ball.
