Mamelodi Sundowns face Richards Bay in the Premier Soccer League on 13 October 2026 at Princess Magogo Stadium. Kickoff is at 7.30 PM SAST.

Below you can find the predicted starting XI from coach Miguel Cardoso for the match.

GOALKEEPER

Ronwen Williams is likely to play in goal again after his penalty-save heroics on Saturday.

However, the Bafana Bafana captain looks in need of a rest and Ricardo Goss may get a rare outing.

DEFENCE

At right back, Khuliso Mudau is out long-term. Thabang Matuludi is likely to start again, but Deano Van Rooyen is nearing a debut.

At centre back, Khulumani Ndamane and Malibongwe Khoza may start once again. Keanu Cupido and Grant Kekana are out injured. Mothobi Mvala is an option if Ndamane needs a breather.

Aubrey Modiba was doubtful at left back for the MTN 8 final and may be rested here. Fawaaz Basadien is likely to take his place in preference to Divine Lunga.

MIDFIELD

Marcelo Allende is a certain starter, but Teboho Mokoena may be rested. He is nursing a knee injury and has had off-field problems to deal with.

With Bathusi Aubaas out injured, we may see Thabo Cele get a first start in the engine room. Sphelele Mkhulise is another option.

ATTACK

Nuno Santos, Thapelo Morena and Tashreeq Matthews could all be rested. Sundowns have serious depth in their squad.

Siyanda Ndlovu, Antonio Van Wyk and Cassius Mailula could play in support of the striker.

In the number nine role, Brayan Leon may start once again. He is set to be selected ahead of Iqraam Rayners. Arthur Sales could feature as a substitute in this one.

Predicted Starting XI (4-2-3-1):

Ricardo Goss - Thabang Matuludi, Malibongwe Khoza, Mothobi Mvala, Fawaaz Basadien - Marcelo Allende, Thabo Cele - Siyanda Ndlovu, Cassius Mailula, Antonio Van Wyk - Brayan Leon.
