Orlando Pirates beat Milford 2-0 at home on Saturday. Below are the player ratings for the Pirates starting XI and subs.

STARTING XI:

Sipho Chaine: 6

The goalkeeper had to save a couple of long-range efforts in the first half. He dealt well with what he had to do.

Kamogelo Sebelebele: 6

The right back was not at his best level and gave away some cheap fouls. He also left a lot of space down his flank.

Lebone Seema: 8

The centre-back had a fine game, assisting the second goal and keeping a clean sheet. He avoided the errors made by his partner.

Nkosinathi Sibisi: 5

The left centre back made a howler in the first half which should have led to a goal. He did not look at his best level in terms of defending nor passing.

Deon Hotto: 7

The veteran left back gave a strong display in both directions. He is showing no signs of slowing down.

Cemren Dansin: 8

The midfielder kept things ticking over and constantly asked for the ball. He showed why he was handed a starting berth ahead of some senior players. He created two chances and won 10 duels.

Thalente Mbatha: 6

The midfielder had some ponderous moments in the first half. He improved after the break and cut out the mistakes.

Oswin Appollis: 7

The winger scored the opening goal from a deflected direct freekick. He dedicated the goal to his late friend, Jayden Adams. He had three shots and two successful dribbles.

Tshepang Moremi: 8 - Man of the Match

The winger created two chances and scored the second goal. He was a menace with his runs behind the defensive line and could be set for a huge season.

Patrick Maswanganyi: 6

The playmaker was not overly effective, dropping deep too often. He had three touches in the box, but was wasteful from opportunities.

Yanele Mbuthuma: 5

The striker did not take his chance from the start. With a new striker signed, he needs to step it up.

SUBSTITUTES:

Neo Rapoo: 6

The left back played 15 minutes and did a steady job.

Simphiwe Masilela: 6

The youngster made his debut and did not look out of place.

Kabelo Kgositsile: 6

The speedy left-footed player was dangerous down the right wing. He has shown himself worthy of more minutes in the coming weeks.

Ghampani Lungu: 5

In 15 minutes, he only completed three passes and had six touches. More was expected from his debut.

Boituemelo Radiopane: 5

The striker got 24 minutes but had little effect on the game. He fired one long-range effort off target and gave away three fouls.
