TTM vs Stellenbosch Predictions & Tips - Low scoring draw expected between struggling sides

TTM are in improved form since Dylan Kerr took over as coach but are struggling to score goals. Stellenbosch are out of form and will play for a point on their travels. I am tipping a draw.

TTM have a 9-4 advantage versus Stellenbosch over their previous 15 matches with two draws.

Their last meeting was in January as Stellenbosch won 2-0 at home after goals by Marc van Heerden and Phathu Nange.

After a run of five losses in a row, TTM sacked coach Joel Masutha and replaced him with Dylan Kerr. Since then, TTM have won consecutive matches and sit 14th in the Premier Soccer League table.

TTM lost five PSL matches in a row without scoring. The last three matches in that run including a 3-0 loss at Kaizer Chiefs, a 2-0 home defeat to SuperSport United and a 1-0 loss on the road to Bloemfontein Celtic.

After Masutha was sacked, TTM beat SuperSport United 1-0 at home in the Nedbank Cup. In their last match, they beat Maritzburg United 1-0 away from home in the PSL. Thabo Mnyamane scored the winner in both matches.

Nicholus Lukhubeni returned from injury to start the last match and should keep his place in defence after a clean sheet.

Thabo Rakhale and Tokelo Rantie both missed the last match due to injury and are in race against time to be fit. Farai Madhanaha started against Maritzburg United in central midfield and could again partner Miguel Timm in the engine room.

A run of seven matches without victory in all competitions in 2021 has seen Stellenbosch drop to 12th in the Premier Soccer League table and get eliminated from the Nedbank Cup.

A 3-2 home defeat to Baroka was followed by a 0-0 home draw with Kaizer Chiefs and a 2-1 defeat at AmaZulu. Stellenbosch then lost 3-2 to Mamelodi Sundowns on their travels in the Nedbank Cup.

In their last match, Stellenbosch were beaten 3-1 at home by Golden Arrows.

Stellenbosch were without Lee Langeveldt in goal for the last game but will hope to have him back after a shaky performance by Sage Stephens.

Leletu Skelem impressed as a substitute in attack against Golden Arrows and he could start this one with Stellenbosch switching to a back four. Phathu Nange is pushing hard for inclusion in midfield after good recent outings from the bench.
