The much-anticipated Asia Cup kicks off on 30 August 2023 as Pakistan player tournament newcomers, Nepal. The final will take place on 17 September 2023.
Sri Lanka are the defending champions having won the tournament in 2022, however, it was a T20I tournament and not an ODI tournament. The Asia Cup always determines the format based on what the next World Cup will be.
All teams will be using this as an opportunity to prepare for the ODI World Cup later this year. Considering the World Cup will be played in India, the conditions in Pakistan and Sri Lanka are ideal preparation for all competing sides.
India are favourites at 1.90 but given their form, those odds look very short from Easybet. Pakistan could hold great value at 3.25, particularly with their superb bowling attack.
Those are the two big favourites but can Sri Lanka cause another shock like they did last year? They are paying 7.50 while Bangladesh are priced at 10.00.
