Canada vs Namibia 1st T20 Predictions - Namibia favoured to defeat Canada

Canada and Namibia will face off in a five-match T20I series, which starts on March 18 in Windhoek. Both teams are coming off the recent ICC World Cricket League 2 in Windhoek, where rain ruined the majority of the matches.

Canada were able to come away with one win against Namibia on either side of their two matches against Netherlands getting rained out. However, in the final match of that phase, Namibia were able to defend a low target to get their first win.

Namibia struggled in the early part of that leg, particularly against the discipline of Netherlands. While they lost in a Super Over match against Canada, they found a way to come away with a consolation win by the end of the Namibia phase.

Canada Recent Form

In their previous match, Canada managed to dismiss Namibia for 186 in 49 overs led by Kaleem Sana’s 4 for 33 from his eight overs. Even Shahid Ahmadzai was terrific, returning figures of 4 for 34 from his 10 overs.

Their problems came with the bat as they were bowled out for 154 after a strong start where they were 79 for 0. Yuvraj Samra came away with 53 off just 74 balls while his opening partner Navneet Dhaliwal produced a patient 25 off 54 balls.

Canada will make a few changes for the T20s but will also consider more spinning options for the conditions in Windhoek.

Namibia Recent Form

The manner of victory for Namibia will give them a lot of confidence and momentum. At one point, they were buried in their defence of 166 in the DLS method but their spinners came away with the game as captain Gerhard Erasmus returned 4 for 24 from his nine overs.
