Islamabad have only lost one match in their last 10 fixtures in the Pakistan Super League. They started this season with an eight-wicket win over the Qalandars, so I am backing them to win again when they play the struggling Peshawar Zalmi.

Islamabad continued their incredible form from the end of last season by beating the Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets.

Jason Holder (4/26, econ 6.50) and Shadab Khan (3/25, econ 7.50) wrecked the Qalandars innings, reducing them to 95/6 in the 15th over. They were bowled out for 139 off 19.2 overs.  

Colin Munro (59* off 42 balls) and Salman Agha (41* off 34) added an undefeated stand of 80 for the third wicket as they wrapped up the win off 174 overs.

Peshawar Zalmi Form


After losing both of their playoff matches last season, Zalmi started this season with a dreadful 80-run defeat at the hands of the Quetta Gladiators. 

The Gladiators racked up 216/3 off their 20 overs. Ali Raza (1/31, econ 7.75) was the least expensive of the Zalmi bowlers, and just one of three to take a wicket in the innings.

Saim Ayub (50 off 38 balls) top-scored as five Zalmi batters fell for ducks. They were bowled out for 136 off 15.1 overs.
