Sunrisers and Durban’s Super Giants matched at the top
The defending champs topped the group table ahead of the playoffs on Net Run Rate. Durban’s Super Giants matched them on 32 points, but fell below them by 0.147 on Net Run Rate. The two teams finished 10 points ahead of third-placed Paarl Royals, and deservedly both made it through the playoffs to meet in the final.

Sunrisers clinch back-to-back title wins
Batting first, the Sunrisers racked up 204/3 off their 20 overs in the final, with hard-hitting Tristan Stubbs scoring 56* off 30 balls. Keshav Maharaj (2/33) was the best of the Super Giants bowlers.
Marco Jansen delivered a bowling masterclass, taking 5/30 in his 4 overs as the Super Giants were rolled for 115 off 17 overs. Wiaan Mulder top-scored with 38 off 22 balls.
