Their most recent match was against high-flying Essex, who posted a challenging 188/5 off their 20 overs, Jack Brooks taking 2/23. Somerset made mince-meat of the target, racing to 194/2 off just 17.3 overs to claim a truly superb victory.

Skipper Tom Abell scored a magnificent 62* to take his side to victory, but the match-winning performance was truly Rilee Rossouw’s phenomenal 85* off just 36 balls that raised the roof and which has elevated him into the league of the world’s most dangerous T20 batters.
