Bangladesh Women vs Scotland Women Predictions

Scotland have never beaten Bangladesh in four WT20I matches. Bangladesh have a lot of experience against the top-ranked sides in women’s international cricket and they should be too strong for Scotland.

Bangladesh Women’s Murshida Khatun scored 50 & 80 in her last 4 innings.
Bangladesh Women’s Nigar Sultana has scored 62*, 32 & 30* in her last 4 innings.
Scotland Women’s Darcey Carter scored 54* off 36 balls in her last 5 innings.
Scotland Women’s Priyanaz Chatterji scored 36 off 28 balls against the Netherlands.

Head-to-Head

Bangladesh have won all four WT20I matches they have played against Scotland.

Bangladesh Women Form

After beating Thailand and Malaysia in the Women's Asia Cup, Bangladesh were brought back down to earth when India beat them by 10 wickets in the semi-final.

Bangladesh slipped to 44/6 in the 14th over, but it was only thanks to Nigar Sultana (32 off 51 balls) that they reached 80/8 off their 20 overs.

India raced to the 10-wicket win off just 11 overs, with Jahanara Alam (3-0-17-0, econ 5.66) the most economical of the Bangladesh bowlers.

Bangladesh Women Team News

Bangladesh will be looking for a strong performance from their more experienced bowlers and batters in order to ensure they beat Scotland.

Scotland Women Form

After losing in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier to Sri Lanka, Scotland beat Papua New Guinea and then the Netherlands to win the Netherlands Women's T20I Tri-Series.

Scotland posted a competitive 145/4 off their 20 overs, with Priyanaz Chatterji (36 off 28 balls) and Darcey Carter (54 off 36 balls) adding 94 for the fourth wicket.

Nayma Sheikh (4/14, econ 3.50) knocked over four of the Netherlands’ top five batters as they struggled to reach 118/9 off 20 overs.

Scotland Women Team News

There are no injury reports from the Scotland Women squad.

Verdict

Bangladesh Women v Scotland Women - T20

I am backing Bangladesh Women to win. I am also backing Murshida Khatun to top score for Bangladesh Women.

Darcey Carter is a good bet to top score for the Scotland Women.
