Shimron Hetmyer (23 off 12) and Roston Chase (34 off 29) got the innings off to a good start after they slipped to 8/2. Sherfane Rutherford (76* off 42) and Jason Holder (33 off 17) powered the West Indies to 196/6 off their 20 overs.

Roston Chase (2/29, econ 7.25) and Gudakesh Motie (3/33, econ 8.25) wrapped the English batters up to secure a 30-run win.

Nepal Form

After the highs of taking England to the last ball in their first match, Nepal folded against Italy to lose by 10 wickets.

Nepal struggled to get their innings off to a good start against tight Italian bowling. Aasif Sheikh (20 off 20), Rohit Paudel (23 off 14) and Aarif Sheikh (27 off 24) all made starts but were unable to convert into substantial scores. Nepal were bowled out for 123 off 19.3 overs.

The Italian openers took the Nepal attack apart, racing to a 10-wicket win off just 12.4 overs. Kushal Bhurtel (0/15, econ 7.50) and Dipendra Singh Airee (0/24, econ 6.54) were the only two Nepal bowlers to go for under 10 to the over.

West Indies skipper Shai Hope had high praise for Player of the Match Sherfane Rutherford after their 30-run win over England.

“You can just watch him and see how special he is. Sometimes, we’ve got to throw stats out the window every now and again. You can just look at a player and see what impact he has on a team. If you ask any bowler in world cricket, if they see Sherfane Rutherford at the next end, they're going to always feel as though they're under pressure. So that in itself speaks for itself. So, I don't think we necessarily need to focus too much on the stats,” said Hope at the post-match press conference.

“I’m just happy to see him getting the success that he truly deserves because he's been playing really well, he's been training hard and it's only a matter of time before the consistency comes,” added Hope.

Speaking at the post-match press conference after his side’s 1-wicket loss to Italy, Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel admitted that they had been outplayed by Italy.

“That was not a 123 wicket. I thought we missed out on that. And it was tough early. Earlier, it was tough to bat, but still, I think 123 was not a disgrace," said Paudel.

“I thought as a team we are growing, and to see the England highs and then suddenly not turning up in today's game, I thought that was a little disappointment. A team going like a team like us, we need to be more consistent, and today was the day to prove that, but not taking away the credit from Italy,” added Paudel.
