Head-to-Head

India have won all seven of their completed T20Is against Ireland.

Ireland Form

Ireland lost two and won one of their four matches in the 2026 T20 World Cup, with their match against table-toppers Zimbabwe being rained-off.

Gareth Delany has scored 30-plus in his last three innings along with returning figures of 3/40 in his last match. Lorcan Tucker has three half-centuries in his last four innings. George Dockrell has scores of 41, 35* and 57 in his last four innings in addition to picking up 2/21, 1/15 and 2/19 in his last three innings with the ball.

Matt Hollard has five wickets in his last two matches, while Liam McCarthy has six wickets in four matches, including figures of 2/37 and 2/31. Gavin Hoey has figures of 2/115, 2/84, 2/22 and 3/26 in his last five innings in all formats. Jai Moondra has two three-fors in his last four matches.

India Form

India won their last four T20Is to clinch the T20 World Cup in March. They have also just beaten Afghanistan 3-0 in their three-match ODI series after beating them in an innings in the one-off Test.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is set to make his international debut on the back of a sensational IPL season that saw him hit 72 sixes in his 16 innings to end as the tournament’s top six-hitter (second on the list was Abhishek Sharma with 43).

Ishan Kishan is his side’s in-form batter, posting two 30s, a 79 and a score of 125 in his last four innings. Axar Patel has scores of 56, 34* and 39 in his last three knocks, while Sanju Samson has scored 87*, 28, 20 and 27 in his last five matches. With Paul Stirling unavailable for selection, Ross Adair and Stephen Doheny will open the innings together, with Lorcan Tucker coming in at first drop for Ireland. The match should see two teenagers making their international white-ball debuts: bowler Reuben Wilson is in line to start for Ireland (he has played one Test for Ireland), while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also in line to make his long-awaited debut for India.

Ireland (possible XI): Ross Adair, Stephen Doheny, Lorcan Tucker (c), Harry Tector, George Dockrell, Gareth Delany, Tim Tector, Liam McCarthy, Gavin Hoey, Reuben Wilson, Jai Moondra.

India (possible XI): Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Suryansh Shedge, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi.
